Questions parents ask
Little Fluent is an online English school for children aged 4 to 12. Each lesson is a live one-to-one video lesson with a real teacher, with picture stories, games and lots of speaking.
For children from 4 to 12. When you add your child, we suggest a level from their age: Tiny Talkers (4–5), Starters (5–7), Movers (7–8), Flyers (8–9) and A2 Key (9–12).
478 ready-made lessons across five levels. Each level has its own units, words, picture stories and review lessons, so your child always knows what comes next.
Yes. The words and sentences come from the official Cambridge English word lists: Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers, A2 Flyers and A2 Key for Schools. It is good preparation for these exams. Little Fluent is an independent school and is not part of Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
A lesson lasts 25 minutes (20 for Tiny Talkers). Your child and the teacher see each other on video and do the activities together on the screen: new words, a story, games, questions and a lot of speaking.
Every teacher has a video interview with the head teacher, which includes a short demo lesson. Then comes an orientation: our teaching guide, a practice lesson, our child-safety and conduct rules, and a photo ID check.
Yes. Each new child can book one free trial lesson from the family page, without a card. After the lesson you choose a plan if you like it.
One price for every level, per lesson. You choose how many lessons a week and for how long. Packages, and brothers and sisters who learn together, can get a discount. The price is shown when you choose a plan.
You need a tablet or a computer with a camera, a microphone and an internet connection. Lessons open in the browser: there is nothing to download.
Cancel the lesson on the family page in time and you get a make-up lesson to book at another free time. You can stop a plan from renewing at any time.
Lessons are one to one in our own lesson room. Teachers follow our child-safety and conduct rules, and parents can report a concern privately to the head teacher from the family page.
On your family page: every lesson, the teacher's notes, the words your child has said, their gifts, and the lessons still to come.
