About Little Fluent

Little Fluent is an online English school for children aged 4 to 12. Every lesson is a live, one-to-one video lesson with a real teacher, built on the official Cambridge English word lists, from a child's very first English words to the A2 Key for Schools level.
Our one website: littlefluent.com
Little Fluent has one website, littlefluent.com. Lessons, sign-up, payments and the family page are all there. Other websites or schools with similar names are not connected with us. If you are not sure that a page is ours, check that the address in your browser is littlefluent.com.
What we do
- Live one-to-one English lessons on video: 25 minutes (20 minutes for ages 4–5).
- Five levels: Tiny Talkers (4–5), Starters (5–7), Movers (7–8), Flyers (8–9) and A2 Key (9–12), with 478 ready-made lessons.
- Words and sentences from the official Cambridge English word lists: Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers, A2 Flyers and A2 Key for Schools.
- Listening, speaking, reading and writing, with picture stories, songs, games, phonics and a lot of speaking.
- Practice at home after each lesson: the story again, the unit's sounds and short games with the same words.
- A family page in 15 languages, with every lesson, the teacher's notes and your child's progress.
Our teachers
Every teacher has a video interview with the head teacher, including a short demo lesson. Then comes an orientation: our teaching guide, a practice lesson, our child-safety and conduct rules, and a photo ID check. Every lesson follows the same ready-made plan, so the words, the steps and the level stay the same whoever teaches.
How we teach
New words are always taught before they are checked: children meet each word with a picture, hear it, copy it and use it in games and questions, and only then are asked to remember it. The teacher keeps the child talking, from a single word at four to opinions and reasons at twelve. Each word is recorded on a ladder, from "understands" to "uses it by themselves", so parents see real progress.
Fair rules
Each new child can book one free trial lesson, without a card. If your child can't come, cancel in time on the family page and you get a make-up lesson. You can pause a plan for a holiday and stop a plan from renewing at any time. Our terms, privacy policy and cancellation and refund policy are public.
